Murcia change will file motions in the municipal boards for the Municipality to install and ensure the maintenance of sources of drinking water in the green spaces of neighborhoods and villages.
The initiative is the most local assemblies Let's change Murcia, who have found that in the gardens of newly built or where there are no sources do exist are in a "very poor" condition.
One of the boards on which already has approved a motion to this effect has been to Santiago and Zaraiche, a member of Let's change proposal, Juan Carlos Alcolea, and who have joined much of the political formations.
Councilman Sergio Ramos recalled that the United Nations Organization (UN) in 2010 recognized access to clean drinking water and sanitation as a universal right guaranteed by all human rights.
In this regard, the role of public authorities should be to ensure compliance, rather than "putting impediments as sources close last summer", something that Ramos has accused the City Council.
He also insisted that one can not forget that water is a public good and that despite this many people as those who are homeless can not access it.
