The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today received the 27 candidates for queen de la Huerta in the Plaza de Belluga, where they hoped the two reproductions of huertano and receiving orchard in this landmark in the city, Murcia and visitors.

The candidates for Reina de la Huerta took the opportunity to show their preferences on the proposed names for these two figures features of the Spring Festival, choosing between Fulgencio (Pencho) Gines, Patricio and Perete, for huertano;

and Carmen, Fuensanta, Josefina (Fina) and Remedios (Reme) for the orchard.

Coinciding with the I Week of the Garden, the City Council yesterday launched a campaign on social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) to choose the name huertano these two views, which have become quite a tourist attraction, with the tag # semanadelahuerta
