The mechanisms of multilateral police cooperation adopted by the European Union (EU) in the fight against Jihadist terrorism have been valued in the doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia by the degree in this discipline and Police Inspector Rafael Pedro Martinez.
The study, which has been rated as outstanding cum laude, is the approval of these mechanisms in a sphere, counterterrorism, which until now was limited to the bilateral cooperation.
The dissertation makes an analysis of international legislation enacted to combat jihadism and makes an assessment of what it means in practice.
The work deals especially the mechanisms for exchanging information between operational units in different countries.
This research was led by Professor of the University of Murcia José María Hortal Cervell and judged by a court he presided Professor of International Law at this institution Cesáreo Gutiérrez Espada.
