The Catholic University of Murcia welcomed on Thursday July 1st seminar, 'The Shrine of the Fuensanta: the valley and its natural resources and heritage. "
The course was framed in the activities planned in Campus UCAM Summer 2010. During a visit to the Shrine of the University and its valley Fuensanta, students learned about the history of Murcia's patron saint, the Virgen de la Fuensanta and discovered the artistic wealth of the sanctuary.
Similarly, the attendees toured the monasteries in the area.
During the visit to the school of Villa del Pilar, Santo Angelo, UCAM watched the house of Mother Mary Seiquer, which together with the mother Amalia Martín de la Escalera, founded the Congregation of the Apostolic Sisters of Christ Crucified.
In addition, students visited the Interpretation Centre of Light, the center of San Antonio Visitors Poor, and the Hermitage de la Luz, where one of the brothers described the activities carried out there with troubled youth.
