The Governing Council has approved the hiring of 80 new residential places for older people in the municipality of Murcia, for a total of 2,161,107 euros over the next three years.
These new positions, which enters the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), are in the Residence Caser Verdolay, in the parish of Holy Angel Murcia.
Residential places offer comprehensive care for the elderly, who receive care assistance, therapeutic, social and leisure, and personal assistance in the maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping.
The IMAS, within their powers of attention to the elderly, pays special attention to the dependent elderly in need of a comprehensive services in their daily life activities and that they can not receive in their environment due to social and family reasons .
To provide a localized response to the demand for care of dependent elderly, the IMAS expands the supply of publicly funded places in private homes.
