The maximum SNE Network of Cities for Bike applauds the use of ciclocalles in Murcia as a key to sustainable mobility in cities

The 263 km proposed by the Master Plan is divided into:
- 44.1 kilometers in the center of the city.

- 188.8 km in the districts of North and South Coastal.
- 30 km in the districts of Campo de Murcia.
If we analyze the distribution by type of track cycling trails in the total of 551 kms of cycle network, Murcia will ciclocalles 39% (215.6 kms) and 61% (335.4 kms.) Bike lanes segregated.
To integrate cycling as a means of urban mobility requires action on four basic areas:
1 Red track cycling trails
2 Parking
3 Calm traffic
4 promotional campaigns, awareness and driver education.
As for parking the Master Plan provides for the demand of 615 bicycle parking spots located throughout the municipality which is equivalent to 3,575 U-invested and 7,150 seats.

In which citizens have access to a public bicycle for personal use in periods ranging from one day or weekend for 3 € plus VAT (2 € at reduced rate), up to a year for 40 € plus VAT (30 € reduced rate).
A total of 180 bicycles will rent.
To proceed to the public bicycle rental must be of legal age, or older than 14 years with the consent of legal representative and address some of the workshops attached to the rental system.
