The Governing Council of the University of Murcia has approved two years of unpaid leave requested by the professor of English Maria Duenas, bestselling author of the moment, "The time between seams in order to prepare his next novel.
Professor Dueñas, who has sold nearly four hundred thousand copies of the work with which it has become known as a writer, had requested the permission to meet the many commitments that have emerged following the success of his work and so documented for his next literary son.
Maria Duenas, who joined the University of Murcia in 1992 as associate professor, won the seat of professor in 2003 and since then has taught English at this educational institution.
This successful writer has indicated that most of these two years will leave the documented an American university for his next work.
"The time between seams" is a novel whose action takes place in Spain during the Civil War, the post-war Madrid and the Spanish protectorate of Morocco.
The Antena 3 TV channel bought the rights for a series on the book, which will also be translated into several languages.
The magazine "Digital Campus", University of Murcia, on the network already has an extensive interview with the teacher and writer.
To celebrate the successful publisher, Dueñas has offered a tasting at the Faculty of Arts of colleagues and friends, among whom was the dean of the center, José María Jiménez Cano, and the director general for the Promotion of Culture and the Book, Francisco Giménez.
