PSOE Councilman Alfonso Navarro says that this operation is incomprehensible if one takes into account that ended last May to collect tax on the vehicles waiting to enter the Consistory of 26 million euros and that ends next July, the first term IBI Income of the expected 90 million entering
The Socialist councilor Alfonso Navarro claims that, given the volume of immediate revenue that the City will enter via car tax (26 million euros) and IBI (90 million euros), it is surprising that the local government has to ask to settle and daily running costs and liquidity problems, a loan worth 45 million euros.
According to Navarro, this operation, whose loan request occurred on June 8 by order of mayor, the city of Murcia municipal debt rises above 300 million euros (at the end of 2009 the debt reached 258 million euros, to which we must now add the 45 million euro loan.)
It is worrisome, emphasizes the mayor of the PSOE, which increased the cost of debt and its interest is subtracting resources for investment, jobs, families and local businesses, further deteriorating the situation in a municipality with high rates of unemployed (50,000 unemployed), where the municipal PP does nothing for the launch of new businesses.
