A study published in the online magazine "Global Nursing at the University of Murcia has indicated the existence of a cause-effect relationship between disruptive behavior disorders (TCP) in childhood and adolescence and the development of an abuse disorder substances (TAS).
In this scenario, the article emphasizes the role of nursing in the levels of early diagnosis (school age), secondary prevention (after the first behaviors are manifested dissocial in preschool and school), treatment and rehabilitation (care plans individualized, community interventions, residential treatment, family therapy, brief strategic).
The authors, who is Professor of Nursing at the University of Murcia Concha Rivera, have noted that recent studies establish that, in substance abuse disorders concurrent with TCP, there are family risk factors such as inadequate parenting style, inconsistent discipline, lack of education skills, etc.
The reviewed literature agrees that more research is needed on the early treatment of this issue, leaving the minimum health and invades other areas such as economic, social, cultural and judicial.
Nursing XXI century, they conclude, must adapt to this new landscape.
