The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, received this morning from the hands of the painter Antonio Sanchez on canvas on the outskirts of the New Arrixaca donated by the author to the city of Murcia.
The oil, with a size of 131x98 cm, is part of the exhibition "Murcia found, seven fields, seven painters, promoted around the Festival Murcia Tres Culturas, which can be seen at the Museum of the City until the end of August.
On the occasion of the exhibition, opened last May, an exhibition on the archaeological sites of the Islamic city preserved in Murcia.
The initiative has met seven large works created by other artists who immortalized so many corners of the Muslim Murcia.
Antonio Sanchez is focused on the suburbs of New Arrixaca, XIII Century, part of which has exposed the occasion of the archaeological excavations at San Esteban.
Upon completion of the exposure, the oil of Sanchez will remain in the Museum of the City because the painter's selfless donation to the fund will incorporate painting of City Hall.
