Health requesting a grant to the Autonomous Region for the development of programs to help prevent obesity, overweight and diabetes

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has this morning approved the amendment to the resolution adopted in December 2007 on the economic benefits for the purchase of the vaccine against pneumococcus and conditions of access to land.

Team Murcia City Government is aware that it must fulfill the commitments that apply to the adoption of adjustment measures aimed at helping in the effort that all of society must take to maintain economic sustainability and reach those who really need such help.

Thus, modification of the agreement focuses on the following points:

Tramintarán only benefits the children of those families registered in the municipality of Murcia and having one of the two conditions set out below:

- Both parents or persons having custody must prove their status as unemployed at the time of filing.

- They must prove the status of special category large family.

In other matters, the Governing Board has also given its approval to the request for a grant to the Autonomous Community of Murcia for the development of programs from the Department of Health and Social Services are held to promote healthy eating and physical activity means to prevent overweight, obesity and diabetes.
