| The Popular Municipal Group criticizes that the councilor has systematically contravened during the last 21 months the internal regulations of his own party, for which he demands its immediate cessation | Mario Gómez has allied himself with a person investigated for a case of alleged prevarication, such as Diego Conesa, with the sole objective of destabilizing the City Council through a plot riddled with falsehoods The PP demands that the Citizens' spokesperson explain how he achieved a public place in the SMS after resigning as a councilor for four days, causing serious damage to other applicants for the job market The Popular Municipal Group demands the immediate cessation of Mario Gómez by the Citizens party upon verifying that the mayor has breached 18 of the precepts contained in the Citizens' Code of Ethics.
The PP criticizes the eagerness that Mr.
Gómez has shown to prosecute the behavior of others when the truth is that he has allied himself with a person investigated for a case of alleged prevarication, such as the socialist Diego Conesa, with the sole objective of destabilizing to the Murcia City Council through a plot riddled with falsehoods.
Mario Gómez has orchestrated, together with the PSOE, a strategy whose sole purpose is to obtain political revenue and thus be able to cover up the excesses that he has committed in his position as councilor.
In this way, the PP denounces that Mr.
Gómez has violated up to 18 principles that are included in the internal regulations of his party, with attitudes that must constitute expulsion and that he has sustained and repeated on a recurring basis during the last 21 months.
A flagrant example is represented by the fact that the mayor has not yet explained how he achieved a public place in the SMS after unsubscribing from Social Security for four days, causing serious damage to other applicants for the job market.
Gómez must clarify why 30 additional points were recognized in the job bank that the Murcian Health Service convened for the award of a technical engineer position in the Health Area V of Yecla.
The Citizens' Code of Ethics states that "any representative who falsifies or deceives in relation to their curriculum or professional qualification will be set aside," a fault that Mario Gómez may have committed.
In this case, Mario Gómez put his personal interests before the public.
He was discharged from social security as if he were not a councilor of the Murcia City Council, he occupied his position as a civil servant, requested the situation of Special Services and four days later he registered again, a conflict of personal interest being evident, hindering compliance with their duties and responsibilities, an attitude that is condemned by the Citizens' Code of Ethics.
The case of the square in the SMS only represents one example of the repeated breaches that Mario Gómez has committed against the Citizens' Code of Ethics.
His own party has repeatedly stated that violating these regulations will mean his expulsion from Cs.
The Citizens' Code of Ethics expressly states that the party's representatives who are judicially investigated will be removed and Mario Gómez faces a criminal complaint for the alleged commission of two crimes, such as infidelity in the custody of documents and violation of secrets.
Ciudadanos rejects harassment in any of its forms and "harmonize respect for the professional autonomy of the public function with the exercise of good leadership, based on mutual trust." Along these lines, the Popular Party recalls that a senior official of the Murcia City Council has denounced Mario Gómez for workplace harassment.
In the words of the person affected, "Mario Gómez has attacked my physical and mental health, against my dignity and has subjected me to unbearable psychological pressure." Regarding the fight against corruption, the internal regulations of Ciudadanos state that "it undermines the values ??of democracy and morality, and with it coexistence, in addition to compromising the political and social development of the country." It should be remembered that Mario Gómez has submitted false reports about the Christmas lights contract, texts that are riddled with assumptions, value judgments and where no argument or evidence of irregularities is found.
In relation to citizenship, Ciudadanos speaks that "the elected and organic positions have the duty to correspond to the trust of the citizens, considering the civic and political interpellations that they can make of their actions and their integrity, and must respond to their public actions and assume the responsibilities that arise ".
Furthermore, "elected officials must carry out a democratic deliberative process in the face of a problem, as well as respect, follow and apply the decisions made." In this regard, Mario Gómez was not able to carry out a single project in these 21 months as Councilor for Development and had more than 200 million euros paralyzed in files for works and private investments, at a time when Murcia needs more than never the revival of the economy.
Ciudadanos also underlines "the need to respect the legitimate professional autonomy of the media, without pressuring, interfering or coercing their practices", an issue that Gómez has not respected, since he has breached the custody of documents and has violated the disclosure of secrets , leaking information reserved to a communication medium, trying to use it for political gain.
Mario Gómez has been disallowed by his party after affirming in a plenary session that Ballesta was the worst mayor in Spain, a statement that he repeated in the press.
This attitude supposes the breach of another point of the Code of Ethics, which is to "respect the unity of action of your party in the manifestation of its decisions." The Citizens 'Code of Ethics also states that in relation to the authorities of elected and organic positions, "Citizens' representatives have the responsibility to present their proposals in a reasoned manner, being sensitive to interpellations that call into question a certain political action.
They must guide themselves.
to dialogue, guided by respect and care in the use of language, without the ideological discrepancy being able to diminish respect for the person ", principles that Mario Gómez has flagrantly violated by resorting to personal attacks, disqualification and the outbursts of tone in his public interventions.
An example of the above happened last April, at a meeting of the social support work group, created on the occasion of the coronavirus pandemic, when Mario Gómez referred to his government colleagues with the following phrase: "if you like well, and if not, you sheathe it ", disrespecting all those present.
