| Murcians have donated nearly 2,000 kilos of clothing, footwear, accessories, toys to Cáritas and other belongings in the ecopoints and in the ecopark | The campaign 'Recycle, give away and recover for others and for the environment', thanks to which Murcians have been able to deliver clothes, toys and belongings to the eco-park and ecopoints, will have continuity over time and each change of season will be repeated . The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, and the Councilor for Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, have delivered the material collected this morning to the director of Cáritas Diocese of Cartagena, José Antonio Planes Valero, at the Murcia Ecopark facilities . This initiative was born on December 20 and lasted until January 9, a period in which Murcians delivered around 2,000 kilos of clothing, footwear, accessories, toys and other belongings at the ecopoints and in the eco-park, which today have handed over to Caritas. In addition, bicycles, baby saddles, an adult walker, rockers, and travel cots have been collected. For this reason, the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, in collaboration with Ferrovial Services, has decided to extend this campaign by creating a specific section in the different ecopoints that run through the municipality. "This campaign is a good exercise of responsibility around the circular economy by Murcian people who have once again demonstrated their solidarity and their willingness to help others, at the same time that they have contributed to caring for the environment by extending the useful life of these resources "has declared Rebeca Pérez. Both the staff who attend the ecopoints and other Ferrovial Servicios employees have worked to classify and order all the material received to deliver it to Cáritas Diocesana in optimal conditions. Among the products received are 21 boxes of adult clothing (588k), 7 of children's clothing (175k), 10 boxes of children's books (250k), 3 boxes of footwear (99k), and more than 300 kilos made.
for toys, stuffed animals and balls. "Initiatives like this help us to understand the importance of a more responsible consumption, to observe our waste, to extend its life and to recycle", added Pérez.
