"This initiative demonstrates, once again, the solidarity and generosity that characterizes the people of this land, since it was born thanks to the collection made with the Christmas basket from the Folder bookstore," he said.
Jos Ballesta, who added that “the project supports, in turn, local commerce: most of the gifts have been purchased in stores in our neighborhoods”. Specifically, the stationery sold 1,000 numbers with the solidarity raffle of their basket, with which they raised 3,000 euros, which have been allocated to the purchase of gifts for the elderly in the residence. Support for local commerce Radios, books, alarm clocks, watches, perfumes, headphones for television, stuffed animals, necklaces, bracelets, skeins of wool, razors; garments such as ponchos, socks, scarves, slippers, sweaters, winter bathrobes, shirts, pajamas, nightgowns, vests; and products such as boxes of cookies, chocolates and supplies, are some of the gifts that a total of 65 residents of the Little Sisters of the Poor have received.
