This Friday, the CEIP Nuestra Señora de La Paz has delivered the diplomas accrediting the certificates of professionalism in gardening, cleaning, welding and level 1 construction to the people who have participated in this initiative The Councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, Pedro García Rex, accompanied by the mayor of Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé; and the general director of the SEF, Mª Isabel López Aragón, has chaired the closing ceremony of the Itineraries for the improvement of the environment-Murcia IT-EDUSI project, where the diplomas accrediting the certificates of professionalism in gardening have been delivered, cleaning, welding and construction of level 1 to the participants of this initiative who reside in the neighborhoods of La Paz, La Fama and El Carmen. This project arises from the participation tables carried out within the framework of the urban DNA initiative and from the analysis of the needs that, in terms of employment and professional qualification, the Employment Service detected in these neighborhoods, and its purpose is to improve the employability of the participants, through their professional qualification and intermediation in the active search for employment. The participating students belong to vulnerable groups with special difficulties in socio-labor insertion (long-term unemployed people, women, immigrants, young minors registered in the Youth Guarantee System, single-parent families, people at risk of social exclusion and people over 45 years of age). Improvements in the CEIP Our Lady of La Paz Specifically, and as part of the training practices, the students, who have been led by the teaching team of the project, have carried out improvement actions in the neighborhood of La Paz, consisting of the adaptation of the gardens adjacent to the CEIP Nuestra Señora de La Paz, replacement of the access door to the educational center, painting of the playground and school entrances, and cleaning and adaptation of Río Mundo and Río Mula streets. Financing and results The project has a budget of 449,000 euros, of which 80% comes from ERDF funds (359,200 euros); and the remaining 20% ??from the Employment Service. Thanks to the project, a total of 268 people have been treated in a personal interview and received guidance on job placement itineraries.
Responses have also been given to those who wanted to set up their own business idea, with 4 people referred to the Center for Municipal Initiatives for entrepreneurship actions, and another 25, who have been addressed to other entities such as FREMM, FROET and various Centers of Adult Education, so that they could continue with their training. Training actions Likewise, a total of 71 people have participated in training actions leading to the obtaining of six certificates of professionalism, level 1 in "Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas", "Auxiliary operations of mechanical manufacturing", "Cleaning of open spaces and industrial facilities "," Cleaning of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises "," Carpentry and furniture works "and" Auxiliary operations of coatings in construction ".
Orientation and transversal skills Collaboration and contact with companies has been another of the key points of the project, taking into account that the guidance team has contacted 50 companies in the municipality to report on the portfolio of actions of the Employment Service, and the possibility of hosting trainees in the productive sectors related to training actions. In addition, with the aim of improving their employability, students have also received training in transversal skills such as self-knowledge and emotional intelligence, communication dynamics, personal branding and job search, training in job interviews, preparation of employability maps and visits to Business. The result of this process is that 44 people have obtained the full certificate of professionalism, 26 the partial certifications and 44 people of the 268 participants in the project have been hired to date. The head of the Department of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism has highly valued the results obtained.
