The Volunteering Program of the University of Murcia has received this Thursday the Volunteer Award of the Murcia Region in the category of programs for all the merits and projects developed during its 25 years of existence, with a mention Special mention to the activity carried out during confinement as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis.
The award ceremony took place in a ceremony held in the cloister of the Faculty of Law in which the awards were given to all the winners in this edition by the Department of Women, Equality , LGTBI, Families and Social Policy.
The counselor, Isabel Franco, and the rector of the UMU, Jos Luj n, have been in charge of presiding over the event.
The award on behalf of the University of Murcia has been collected by one of the volunteers from the academic institution.
In addition to the University of Murcia, Mar a Requena Meana has also been recognized in these Volunteer Awards of the Murcia Region 2020, who has obtained the award for the Volunteer Person 2020 title p stumo for his vital trajectory of participation and promotion of various solidarity volunteer initiatives; and the Cieza City Council Volunteer Association, for their contribution and actions aimed at addressing the difficulties and needs caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the municipality of Cieza.
