| The most creative will be able to win an electric scooter, a tablet and a batch of paintings | The Murcia City Council, in collaboration with Ferrovial Servicios, is launching the 'Balconízate' campaign with the aim of promoting recycling at Christmas time. To this end, Murcians are encouraged to participate in a contest to decorate balconies with recycled products during the Christmas period, since it is the time of year when more waste is generated. "On the one hand, we encourage the reuse of waste that can be turned into ornaments and, on the other, we contribute to making our balconies look more beautiful during these dates," said the Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez. The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, has indicated that "this is another original way to decorate our streets at this time in an activity in which the whole family can participate." To participate in the contest you must make a video with the balcony decoration process and the recycled materials used, as well as the final result.
This recording must be uploaded to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag # balconízate, in turn tagging the Murcia City Council and Ferrovial Servicios, before January 6. Participants can use any technique and style, always directly related to Christmas, and the originality of the design, aesthetics and the use of recycled materials will be valued. Once the deadline is over, the three most creative balconies will be selected and will be awarded an electric scooter (first place), a tablet (second place) and a batch of paintings (third place).
