| José Ballesta chairs the Board of Directors of the Food Logistics Distribution Center | The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Commerce, Markets and Public Roads, Juan Fernando Hernández, chaired the Mercamurcia Board of Directors today, the last meeting of the year that was held by videoconference and in which it was reported on the high occupancy level, above 96%, of the Food Logistics Distribution Center.
Specifically, the new registrations in the Truck Parking stand out.During the meeting, the good performance of the Fruit and Vegetable Market throughout this year was also analyzed, with an increase of more than 16% in its commercialization volume, also highlighting the impact of the pandemic in the Complex Cárnico and the Flower and Plant Market, which has been the most affected by this situation.In another order of topics discussed, continuing to comply with the Annual Operating Plan, the specific specifications have been approved to carry out efficiency improvements in the company's WWTP facilities.Finally, the Council has also been informed of the obtaining by Mercamurcia of the AENOR Certificate of Protocols against COVID-19, promoted and coordinated by MERCASA, for the good safety practices at work and in the activity that takes place in its facilities against the pandemic carried out in the Mercas Network.
