| The agreement was created to promote research and the application of new technologies in the industrial sector | The University of Murcia and the company El Dulze Growers have signed this Wednesday the collaboration agreement by which the University Chair in Intelligent Industry is launched, whose fundamental objective is the establishment of a space dedicated entirely to research, training and dissemination in the field of technological innovation, in which professors and students from the University of Murcia, as well as professionals from the sector, will participate.
José Luján, rector of the University of Murcia, and José Ángel Sánchez, CEO of El Dulze Growers, have been in charge of initiating the agreement in a ceremony that took place in the Convalescence, headquarters of the rector's office. The Chair was created to enable the addressing of technological challenges and innovation needs in the industry through direct collaboration between research groups at the University of Murcia and the companies that make up the Chair, which is open to the participation of other companies and institutions.
The activities will be specified in research projects; specialized training through seminars and courses; studies on new technologies and their impact on the industry; exploration of new technologies for the sector; dissemination of scientific results; and the promotion of technological vocations among students, among others.
