| The project consists of the reform of the old Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores school to house two large 24-hour study rooms and toilets, adapted to the size of the building that is 326 m2 | The councilor for Pedanías and Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández and the councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, have visited the building where the new 24-hour study rooms of El Raal will be located, framed within the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías (PEIP). This project consists of adapting the old Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores school to house two 24-hour study rooms and toilets, adapted to the size of the building, which is 326 m2. "These works represent an important improvement for the services of the district, whose neighbors will have new dependencies for culture and training," said Marco Antonio Fernández. The access door to Calle Escuelas will be relocated to the existing façade.
These doors, with an electronic lock, allow their use through a system enabled in the rest of the town halls. The interior layout of the premises is projected completely new, with two 24-hour study rooms with access from the public road and a toilet area next to the distributor between both study rooms. The capacity will be approximately 134 students (64 in classroom 1 and 70 in classroom 2), leaving the distribution in two classrooms of 132 m2 and 105 m2, 12 m2 in the distributor, 19 m2 in two toilets and 2 m2 for a room cleaning. The two rooms will have individual air conditioning. Project in public tender The project is already in public bidding with a deadline to submit offers of 20 days, has a base price of 219,640 euros and an execution period of 6 months. New municipal study room The performance is one of the works belonging to the Extraordinary Plan for Investments and Pedanías.
Thus, the City Council continues to work on the implementation of this type of infrastructure for the improvement of neighborhoods and districts, as well as the structuring of the municipal territory. The school expansion and remodeling project includes the construction of a 24-hour study room, dependent on the Municipal Network of Study Rooms of Murcia (RMSM), a service managed by the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government. In this sense, for Mercedes Bernabé, "the town hall offers Murcian fully equipped spaces for study and training, suitable for the development of academic activities.
These projects represent a profitable and safe investment for the future for our young people."
