The investigation began last October, when the Civil Guard learned of several robberies, committed in the urban area of ??the Murcian district of Cabezo de Torres, consisting of the theft of bags from inside vehicles. These events had generated a certain social alarm since they had been taking place, mainly, taking advantage of the moment when parents came to take their children to school.
While they got out of the vehicle to help the minors, a person seized the valuables that were inside. On one occasion, in addition, the incident turned violent when the assailant got behind the wheel of the vehicle to steal it and, in his attempt to escape, dragged the owner, causing him serious injuries. The Civil Guard collected the evidence and testimonies of the various robberies to determine the existing match in the physical description of the suspect, which allowed the investigation to focus on a known criminal in the area, with a large criminal record for crimes of the same nature. Of this Spanish individual, 42 years old and a native of the Alicante municipality of Monforte del Cid, it was known that he could be residing in the town of Cabezo de Torres, although also that his habitual movements revolved around the district of El Palmar and a well-known slum of Murcia, for which numerous police search operations were established. Recently, these surveillance have been positive when locating him, when he was leaving his home, in Cabezo de Torres, at which time he has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of robbery, theft and robbery with violence. The 'Damocles' operation has culminated in the clarification of seven criminal acts, committed in the Murcian district of Cabezo de Torres, and with the disposition of the Murcia Investigating Court of the alleged perpetrator of the crimes under investigation.
