the streets of the urban area will be illuminated, to coincide with Black Friday, the day on which shops make significant discounts on their products.In the words of Jesús Pacheco, "we all know that the holidays this year will be different, but we must preserve the joy and bring the magic of Christmas into every home."Pacheco added that "for months we have been receiving requests from merchants asking us this year, more than ever, to install this special lighting since in this way sales are promoted in the Christmas campaign."Thus, in the design of the light motifs, sustainability and energy efficiency criteria have been taken into account with the use of LED technology.In total, 1,900,000 LED lights will be installed distributed in arches or luminous motifs that will illuminate more than 50 different streets of the city with more than 370 arches and ornaments.Gran Vía, Correos Street, Platería and Trapería will be exclusively designed for Murcia.
Thus, the motifs of the Gran Vía will be related to the Three Wise Men, the Correos street with stars and Trapería y Platería with Christmas lanterns.The lighting of this year's Gran Vía, which will premiere on December 5, extends to the Floridablanca garden (previously it was to the Martínez Tornel square) and will be made up of 27 arches.
Murcians will be able to discover this new lighting in a special day in which a musical thread will be premiered in six places and in Alfonso X with the music of the winners of the CreaMurcia.The lighting hours will be from 18 to 23 hours every day if the curfew is maintained.
In the event that it is deleted, the schedule will be extended until 1 am on designated days.
