| The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, today visited the expansion works of the medical office in this district, which will be ready for early next year | The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, today visited the expansion works that are being carried out in the Churra medical office, located on Julio Cortázar street, which will improve health care for the more than 8,000 residents of the district."With the construction of this new clinic, which responds to the demands of the citizens of the area, we are taking a further step in improving the primary care facilities, as well as the quality of this service throughout the municipality", the mayor has highlighted.The works, with an investment of 331,400 euros, began last September and are scheduled to be completed by the beginning of the year.
Specifically, the project includes the construction of six new offices, four for family medicine and two for nursing, a living room, three toilets and a warehouse.
All this on a total area of ??251 square meters on a single floor.Javalí Nuevo's office, also under constructionIt should be remembered that the new Javalí Nuevo office is currently under construction, which will have two floors spread over an area of ??550 square meters.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, endowed with 14 million euros.The works of this new infrastructure were awarded for an amount of 416,821 euros, of which 216,821 euros were provided by the Murcia City Council and 200,000 euros by the Murcian Health Service.The network of clinics and health centers in the Murcia municipality comprises a total of 65 centers distributed over the 880 km2 of extension of the municipality, serving residents of all districts.
Of them 38 are municipal management.
