1953.

1955 'was born from the determination and creativity capacity of two painters and a photographer, three artists united by the same generation.

His different years of birth give name to this exhibition, in which we find three different views, three perspectives reflected in photographs of great dynamism and paintings with expressive lines ”, highlighted José Ballesta during the event. The exhibition, whose curator is Emilio Ángel Morales, will remain in the La Glorieta Exhibition Hall from today until January 31.

to 9:00 p.m., and on Sundays, from 11:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m.The influence of the 'Grupo Pórtico' of Zaragoza in MurciaThe fifties represented for art in Spain the most important change that it experienced throughout the 20th.

After the conflicts of the Civil War and World War II, Spanish artists continued in a logical catharsis, in a classic and traditional way of understanding art.At that time, a group of young artists broke definitively with the past, giving a new dimension to the arts, which was called 'Grupo Pórtico', promoted from Zaragoza, and which represented, in a certain way, the avant-garde.The influence of the 'Grupo Pórtico' of Zaragoza spread throughout the Spanish geography with young artists emerging from different points, such as Clavé, Palazuelo, Amadeo Gabino, Eusebio Sempere, Hernández Pijuan, Chillida, Salvador Victoria, Lucio Muñoz, Alfaro, Antoni Tàpies, Modest Cuixart, Joan-Josep Tharrats, Rafael Canogar, Luis Feito, Juana Francés, Manolo Millares, Manuel Rivera, Antonio Suárez, Antonio Saura, Pablo Serrano, Martín Chirino, Manuel Viola ...Names and more names that build the new Spanish art, giving it a dynamism and expressive force that broke with the past.

At this crucial moment, the three authors of the exhibition were born, who also drank from the influence of Grupo Pórtico. The title of the sample is the different years of birth of each one of them –Antonio Ballester (Paris, 1952), Ángel Fernández Saura (Murcia, 1953) and Esteban Linares (Murcia, 1955) -.

The quality, the seriousness, the respect for the arts and their continuous experiments and searches essentially constitute their nexus of union.Culture, essential activityDuring the event, the Murcian councilor said that “we are experiencing a crisis that is affecting all structures of society.

And when a change of epoch occurs, the societies that come out stronger are the most mature and advanced culturally and intellectually.

For this reason, from the City Council we declared Culture as an essential activity last March, because we are aware that terms such as reflection, critical thinking, innovation, creativity, projection, dialogue, networks… will be key concepts to face the future ”.Social analysis, a constant in Antonio Ballester's workAntonio Ballester (Paris, 1952) is a painter, draftsman, sculptor, photographer and graphic designer.

He is the only son of the painter Mariano Ballester and Monique les Ventes, a collector of dolls and toys. His first solo show opened in 1975 at the Chys gallery in Murcia and, since then, he began a long career of exhibitions in different cities.

He stands out especially for his project 'One Car Show' (1996-2004), which he carried out in the Church of Verónicas in Murcia.Of a multidisciplinary nature, Antonio Ballester has always had an attraction to the advertising image, poster and urban message for its simplicity and perpetual search for prominent icons.

Social analysis is a constant in his work, which makes his work marked by the Spanish society of his time, his experience in the army in Melilla and the Franco regime.

All his works tend to a single purpose: to create iconic images.Ángel Fernández Saura, an author 'without concessions'The artist Ángel Fernández Saura (Murcia, 1953) has been working in the world of images since the mid-1970s.

His different actions place him as one of the best photographers in the Murcia region in the eighties. He worked as a professional covering different fields, such as graphic design, reportage photography and collaborations with some media in the region, combined with his artistic work.In 1981, a year after publishing in the magazine 'Nikon-News', he held his first solo exhibition at the Chys de Murcia gallery, under the title of 'People'.After her, a large number of group exhibitions followed, until in 1987 she was awarded the Plastic Arts grant from the Murcia General Directorate of Culture, which was awarded to carry out a project for a year, allowing her to develop a stay in New York.

Part of his work was collected in the work 'NY 651 9th Avenue'.His work, in general, presents an author concerned about the photographic fact, where concessions have no place.Esteban Linares, dreamer of imagesThe painter Esteban Linares (Murcia, 1955) defines himself as a dreamer of images.

After passing through the School of Fine Arts in Valencia, he returned to Murcia joining, together with artists of his generation, the cultural activity of the city.
