For now, the council's public coffers are generating significant discounts on the maintenance of the 650 vehicles that make up the municipal fleet.Specifically, there has been a saving compared to the last hiring of the previous stage of 14% in the purchase of tires, 35% (in the interior and exterior washing of passenger cars), 27.3 (interior and exterior car washing patrols), 23.40 (interior and exterior washing of vans) and 36.31% (washing of Local Police motorcycles).In this sense, the first deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works, Mario Gómez, thanked the new head of General Services and the entire team for their work and dedication.
"They are making a great effort to improve management, despite the difficulties encountered in a change without any help or transition," he assured. In addition, the mayor Mario Gómez has highlighted that "these savings percentages are going to be, from now on, the usual trend of public contracting in this municipal service."In this sense, the head of Development has emphasized the need to continue eliminating the vices that harm the local administration and, therefore, Murcians; as well as the thousands of minor contracts that have been carried out in the consistory and reduce them to the exceptionalities established by law.For this, the first deputy mayor has announced that "we are already working on the drafting of new specifications for the bidding by lots of the different contracts that are carried out in General Services".
