The University of Murcia has signed a collaboration agreement with the Murcia City Council on Tuesday to promote entrepreneurial activity among the university community.
This agreement, which represents the extension of a previous one, implies a financial contribution of 30,000 euros by the City Council to the academic institution.The signing, which took place in the consistory, has been carried out by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, and the councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism of the Murcia City Council, Pedro García Rex.Among other activities, thanks to this collaboration agreement, meetings with entrepreneurs will be organized, in which entrepreneurs will go to the University to share their experience with students; entrepreneurship days, which will be held in each center; participation in events that promote business creation; and calls for prizes such as ideas competitions or those that recognize the best business creation projects resulting from final degree and master's degree projects.In addition, this collaboration also supports the carrying out of studies and research on the situation of entrepreneurship in the Region, such as the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM-Región de Murcia), or on entrepreneurship of university students (GUESSS).
