| The City Council saves in the last year about 4 million euros and avoids the emission of 15 million kilos of CO2 | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration led by José Guillén, is carrying out work to improve public lighting throughout the municipality.These works are also being carried out within the framework of the Murcia Smart City and Murcia Aire Limpio strategy that advocates in this case to favor the improvement of the environment, visibility and safety of the area and contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the neighbors of the municipality.Today, the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, visited the district of El Rincón de Beniscornia, where the installation of 158 ultra-low consumption points is being carried out, within the Smart Lighting project, of the Murcia Smart City strategy, which will generate savings of about 30,000 euros and will stop emitting more than 40,000 kilos of CO2 into the atmosphere."These improvements in districts and neighborhoods make it possible to comply with the commitments assumed by the City Council to curb climate change, but they are also carried out with the safety of the residents who circulate on the road in mind, providing it with more light.
