| 54% of the SICTED companies in the municipality have achieved this mark, which places the municipality in fifth position nationwide regarding establishments and services that have already obtained this extraordinary distinction | The Councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism has delivered the diplomas to the 36 new companies and services in Murcia that have obtained the security badge against Covid-19.

A recognition granted by the Secretary of State for Tourism within the Comprehensive System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations.

The event, which was also attended by the mayor of Culture and Recovery of Heritage, Jesús Pacheco, took place in the Los Molinos del Río Exhibition Hall.After successfully overcoming the implementation of good practices in the tourism sector, these 36 new establishments join the 13 already distinguished previously, which represents 54% of the total number of SICTED companies in the municipality, placing Murcia among the first national destinations -fifth position- in number of companies and services that have already achieved the mark of good practices against Covid.Along with this seal, the Víctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center, the Tourism Office and Terra Natura are certified with the ICTE Safe Tourism seal.Through SICTED, the Secretary of State for Tourism supports and encourages tourist establishments to participate in this external evaluation, carried out by qualified external personnel, so that they can offer their clients a more controlled and safe service, developing contingency plans, improving their cleaning and maintenance plans and training all their staff.The new Murcian establishments that have obtained the distinction are the following:Travel Agencies: 1976 Experiences and Travel, Murcia GO! and Evadeo Viajes.Bars and cafes: Andalusian Parliament - Plaza de las Flores and Andalusian Parliament - Plaza Romea.Shops: Cafés Salzillo San Cristóbal y Thader, Caliente, Coosy Murcia, María Rocamora, Óptica Sociedad, Óptica Tenvisión, Titisclothing and Vanila.Tourist guides: Enrique Mena García and Purificación Pelegrín Giménez.Hotels: Agalia Hotel and Hotel Catalonia Conde de Floridablanca.Museums and centers of tourist interest: Molinos del Río Space - Stables and Fauna Recovery Center "El Valle".Professional Congress Organizer: Congress Access, Aldaba Tourist and Cultural Services, Culture Connection, Congresses and Events in Plural.Restaurants: El Palco of the Andalusian Parliament.Citizen Security: Murcia Local Police, Murcia Civil Protection.Taxis: Alejandro García Olivares -Taxi 254, Francisco López Clavijos - Taxi 67, Francisco Saura López-Taxi 130, José Luis Vera Paredes - Taxi 4, José Pérez Garvi - Taxi 122, Julio Hernández Jiménez-Taxi 181, Rafael Ruiz Montiel - Taxi 66, Serafín Baeza Cabrera - Taxi 152 and Sergio Navarro García - Taxi 48.Keys: offer trust and securityFor councilor Pedro García Rex, "it is essential to offer confidence and security to residents and visitors and that all links in the value chain of the tourism sector incorporate hygienic-sanitary measures and focus their efforts on making Murcia a safe destination" .In this way, the mayor of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism thanked all the companies and services - those that have already been evaluated and those that will do so shortly - for their degree of commitment to the quality and safety of the destination .

"By obtaining this distinction we are generating trust in customers and supporting the tourism sector in a situation as complicated as the one we are experiencing," he said.For his part, the Councilor for Culture and Recovery of Heritage, Jesús Pacheco, who has received the diploma awarded to Los Molinos del Río, has stressed that "together with the Museum of Science and Water, it is the second municipal museum to achieve this distinctive that guarantees that the culture in Murcia is safe ". Technical assistance and online trainingTo obtain this distinction, the Department of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism is also facilitating entrepreneurs, freelancers and small companies the process with online training, through webinar, to inform, explain and resolve doubts about the hygienic-sanitary measures to be applied, as well as the mandatory legal requirements in this regard.Likewise, the Tourist Quality service is providing online technical assistance to each of the SICTED establishments to advise them on the implementation process and documentation that they must prepare to pass this evaluation and obtain the security badge.
