| Next Thursday, it will offer the creations of different experimental filmmakers and video creators and a photography workshop given by Alex Lafuente | Next Thursday, the Cuartel de Artillería Production Center will demonstrate that cinema, photography and architecture share a history of encounters, offering the creations of different experimental filmmakers and video creators and a photography workshop given by Alex Lafuente. The meeting within the framework of 'Pass without calling' will be structured in two parts.
The first consists of a reflection on the elements that make up experimental cinema and its relationship with architecture by authors as diverse as Hans Richter, Nicolas Nedekopoulos, Norman Mc Laren, Ryoji Ikeda and Walter Ruttman that they show through different pieces the unquestionable link between architecture and cinema, and the magic of the design of spaces that not only respond to the image but also to the acoustics and lighting. The second part of the event will be a workshop on Architecture and photography through the eyes of Alex Lafuente that will set the guidelines and techniques to get fantastic snapshots.
Through an exhibition of his works and the various resources used, Lafuente, director of his own studio dedicated to photographing works of architecture, understands that this is the art of looking for others to see and operates decisively in the way that architects and architecture Society in general sees and knows the world: its landscapes, its cities and its buildings.Alex Lafuente accompanied by Jesús Romero (winner of the Creamurcia 2019 in the discipline of photography) will make a brief introduction of their work through which they will begin to mark a series of guidelines so that all attendees are able to apply the theories of composition, proportion or light.
After this brief introduction, the workshop will make the leap to the street, where the protagonist will be the artillery barracks and its architecture, focusing the photography through the work of its corners and details or its fantastic relationship with the public space that hosts it.FRAMING THE BARREL.
