| El Palmeral and the municipal center of the district will be the settings for the different shows that will be held with all security and cleanliness measures | Santiago y Zaraiche will host the fifth edition of Festeín next weekend, with five shows for the youngest, covering different genres such as musicals, puppets and circuses and, for the first time, a representation aimed at early childhood."The children's theater festival has established itself as an unavoidable annual event and another sign of cultural identity of the district together with the meeting of gangs, their traditional manifestations and their jazz festival," said the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesus Pacheco.The festival will take place under extraordinary security and cleanliness measures and in safe environments that allow better control of capacity, access and hygiene measures: the Palmeral de Santiago and Zaraiche, where two shows will be held, and the Municipal Center of the district, with three representations.All the companies that pass through the Festeín have obtained national and international awards and, in this edition, a show aimed at early childhood for children from 2 to 5 years is also incorporated for the first time, winner of two Azahar awards and a Fetén award in 2020 .Thus, the performances that can be seen in the Palmeral de Santiago and Zaraiche are 'La Cenicienta', by the company Teatro Los Claveles (puppet theater) on Saturday 24, and 'Un día de cine', by Cirk About It (circus ), on Sunday 25, both at 12.30 pm.The Municipal Center of Santiago and Zaraiche will be the stage for 'Yo de grande' (multisensory musical theater), on Friday 23; 'The moon in the garden' by Teatro Silfo (theater for early childhood), on Saturday 24; and 'Cloud cloud' by Periferia Teatro (puppets), on Sunday 25.
All these performances will be held at 6.30 pm.The performances at the Municipal Center will be at 6:30 p.m.
on October 23, 24 and 25, while the performances at El Palmeral de Zaraiche will be at 12 noon on October 24 and 25.Given the particular circumstances as a result of Covid-19, extraordinary security measures will be adopted, all of them included in the 'Guide of good practices for the restart of stage and musical activity in Spain.
