| The councilors Mercedes Bernabé and Antonio Navarro inaugurate in the Artillery Barracks these meetings belonging to this phase of consultation, in which 'Mobility and Sustainability' will also be analyzed | The councilors of Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, and of Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, have inaugurated today in the Artillery Barracks the second round of work tables of the Social Council of the City for the elaboration of the Urban Agenda Murcia 2030.Thus, municipal technicians and members of this representative body will discuss in the first meeting the 'Vertebration of the territory', a table focused on districts, interconnection and green infrastructures, in communications between the north and south areas, the presentation of public services , in addition to the rail connection and suburbs.Next, it will be the turn of the 'Mobility and Sustainability' table, which will address the metropolitan and integrated approach to transport, air quality, the integration and coexistence of transport modes, renewable energies, the circular economy and the efficient waste management.“This participatory process allows us to know the opinion of Murcian regarding the most relevant issues for the development of the municipality.
The final objective is to obtain a territorial planning document that provides us with rapid responses to changing environments and that sets the course for our City project, based on sustainable urban development policies ”, Mercedes Bernabé highlighted.For his part, Antonio Navarro has pointed out that "Murcia is a very large municipality, of almost 900 square kilometers, which allows an analysis of the diversified territory, which has to combine environmental sustainability and economic growth". Upcoming tablesThe second round of the work tables is part of the participatory process prior to the drafting of the Murcia Urban Agenda 2030 strategy.

It will analyze different topics such as access to employment, addictions, opportunities for young people, immigration and the adaptation of public services to demographic change.Table 4: 'Talent and culture'.
It will focus on cultural and creative industries, commerce, gastronomy, culture and heritage, emblematic projects and support for the transfer of research results.Thursday, October 22Table 5: 'Open Government and Innovation in public management'.
They will talk about transparency and governance, accountability, administration as a productive factor and the evaluation of participation.Table 6: 'Economic development and foreign projection'.
Support for strategic sectors, modernization of the hospitality sector, brand creation and management, as well as the promotion of retail trade will be discussed.
