| José Ballesta: "The city is hosting the fifth edition of this event, which will have as its common thread the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven's birth, with six grand pianos spread over different enclaves "| The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, presented this morning 'Pianos en la calle', an initiative in which more than 60 musicians will participate and that will take place this Saturday, 17 October, in different enclaves of the city.“Murcia hosts the fifth edition of 'Pianos en la calle', which will have as its common thread the 250th Anniversary of Beethoven's birth, with six grand pianos distributed in different locations, such as the Alfonso X pedestrian area, the Sala Caballerizas and the Parque Fofó auditorium, among others ”, highlighted José Ballesta during the event, held in the Sala Caballerizas de Murcia.Under the title of 'Intermezzo'This edition will take place under the title 'Intermezzo', a musical proposal that refers to the pandemic, celebrating a different edition of the event, as an 'Intermediate'.Specifically, the pianos will be installed in the Stables Room, in the Artillery Barracks, in the Moneo Building, in the City Museum and in the Parque de Fofó auditorium.
All concerts, with free admission until full capacity is reached, will take place under the sanitary protocol measures - use of a mask, restriction of seats, cleaning and disinfection after each performance.It should be noted that the event was scheduled to be held last May, in spring, but had to be postponed due to the health crisis.22 students from the Conservatory will play at the Artillery BarracksHalls 1 and 2 will be some of the highlights of the day.

Professional interpreters will participate, from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m., and in the afternoon, from 5 p.m.
