Councilor Carmen Fructuoso, accompanied by the pediatric mayor, has known the "decadent and problematic" situation of these houses and the families that inhabit them and demands coordination between Social Services, Employment and Housing to avoid ghettos The Municipal Socialist Group denounces the current state of "isolation and neglect" in which the municipal homes of Los Ramos are found, with "the consent of the Ballesta team that abandons these families to their fate who need, in addition to a home, a intervention program in which Social Services, Employment and Housing are involved, "explains Councilor Carmen Fructuoso, who believes that" only in this way will we achieve that these residents of the municipality get out of a vicious circle and can have a second chance for them and a future for their children.
" Fructuoso, together with the pediatric mayor of Los Ramos, Marina Navarro, has visited the municipal homes of the district this morning and there has been able to verify that "it is necessary to launch a training and integration program" and adds that "what is contemplated there It cannot be perpetuated in time or be part of a municipality that boasts of being the seventh in Spain.
" "We have other examples of neighborhoods that historically are in a situation of vulnerability and this cannot be a sign of identity," declares the Socialist councilor, who assures that "we already know that for the Ballesta team, people in risk of social exclusion who live in the municipality that governs, but they must take action on the matter because they are neighbors with real problems that cannot be turned away, because they are not solved that way.
" For this reason, Fructuoso has invited the mayor and the councilors responsible for Social Services and Employment to take a tour "tomorrow in Los Ramos, to check the problematic and decaying situation in which the families of houses that belong to the City Council find themselves and look for effective formulas to help them get out of their situation.
" On the other hand, he recalls "the very serious lack of municipal housing, which is preventing the City Council from giving an agile response to families who are about to be evicted," explains the councilor, who has already warned that there are around a thousand petitions in waiting list and "when you do not have a home to protect your children there is no valid excuse".
In addition, he points out that "we know that the Housing Service is collapsed, it has neither the means nor the personnel, we hope that these expected 2020 budgets, although they arrive late, will collect enough appropriation to respond to those who are experiencing the worst." In this regard, he also points out that before the pandemic we had families with low income, victims of DANA or landslides, on the waiting list, but "now every day that passes we find families who have stopped receiving income due to the pandemic and they are forced into a situation of exclusion that can only be stopped by the City Council ".
