| The riverbed, the Almudí Palace, the Moneo Building and the pedestrian axis of Gran Vía Alfonso X El Sabio are some of the spaces that they will dress today and tomorrow with the flag of Spain | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration led by José Guillén, with these symbolic gestures, joins tomorrow, October 12, to the celebration of the National Holiday, Hispanic Day , which commemorates the discovery of America by the navigator Christopher Columbus in 1492.Tomorrow is also celebrated onomastics of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of Spain and of the Civil Guard.In this way, different enclaves of the city of Murcia will be dyed with the color of the flag of Spain; emblematic spaces that will be, among others, the Del Río riverbed, Murcia Río, the Almudí Palace, the Moneo Building and the pedestrian axis of the Gran Vía Alfonso X El Sabio.
The expected time of the big ignition is this afternoon, starting at 8:00 p.m.This lighting will be complemented, at 12:00 and 20:00 in the morning, with the notes of the national anthem on the Gran Vía Alfonso X El Sabio, in the heart of the city.In addition, Spanish flags have been installed on the balconies of the Murcia City Hall building, in La Glorieta, and on thousands of balconies in the city placed by residents of the municipality spontaneously and voluntarily.The city council has wanted to decorate the city in a special way, with the symbol that represents the unity of all Spaniards in the face of the impossibility of holding a massive public act.
