The University of Murcia has hung from the balcony of the Convalescence building, headquarters of the Rectorate, a banner commemorating the European Day of Rock Art.
It is an act of support for the first artistic manifestation of humanity. The same banner hangs from the balcony of the Government Delegation and the eleven municipalities of the Region that have among their heritage representations of rock art.
The initiative of this commemoration has come from the Association of Friends of Rock Art of the Region of Murcia and the University of Murcia. The University of Murcia, through the work of its specialized research groups in the field, is involved in the enhancement and recovery of rock art in the Region.
