| The Murcia City Council and the Promoters Association have signed an agreement for the creation of this body, which aims to give a boost to the most important projects | The Murcia City Council and the Association of Real Estate Developers of the Region of Murcia (APIRM) have signed a collaboration agreement by virtue of which a new body called the Professional Office will come into operation, which will serve to provide more agility to the processing of projects that are of special interest to the municipality due to their volume of investment and the generation of jobs that their development entails.

The initial duration will be 4 years extendable for another 4 more.The matter received this morning the approval of the Local Government Board, at the request of the Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta, led by the mayor Antonio Navarro.

This Office will act as a streamlining and assistance unit in the technical and administrative field that will promote the processing of projects and the obtaining of licenses and will prioritize their management from the presentation of the issues.Boost for the social, economic and labor tissuesThe Office of the Professional intends to promote projects that have a special relevance of municipal interest because their implementation implies a revitalization for the social, economic and labor fabric of the municipality.In this way, the projects or actions processed through this body must involve the creation of 10 or more stable full-time jobs as a result of their development.Licenses of more than 2,000 meters of buildable areaThose whose start-up involves an investment equal to or greater than 3 million euros may also go to the Office.

Likewise, this body will process the actions with urban licenses that exceed 2,000 square meters of buildable area.The putting into operation of this body will give a boost to the local economy, since its main objective is to establish at the municipal level an effective mechanism that provides more agility to those projects that clearly favor the creation and maintenance of jobs .The Office of the Professional will provide updated information to the employers of the state of processing in which their files are located, which will facilitate their monitoring and administrative coordination.All projects will be declared priorityThis body will improve the processing process and will declare priority all the projects that it manages from the order of initiation.

The deadlines for processing the files will be reduced by half with a fully electronic model.All procedures will be promoted ex officio in all their procedures and will be subject to the principle of speed, and all procedures will be carried out in a single act.

The Office will have, at least, an architect and an administrative assistant in addition to the employees already working on the processing of files.A monitoring commission, composed of the mayor Navarro, a technician from the Department of Sustainable Development, the president of APIRM, José Ramón Blázquez; and a technician appointed by the Association of Promoters, will meet at least three times a year to ensure compliance with the development and progress of the Office and will make improvements.
