| The local group of Somos Región in Murcia has filed a complaint with the City Council of the capital regarding the proliferation of uncontrolled landfills in the municipality | Being aware that the municipality of Murcia suffers from a serious environmental problem due to the illegal dumping of urban solid waste, since its number is high and affects practically the entire municipal term, and that recently there has been knowledge of the existence of a Uncontrolled landfill in the Churra district, next to Juan de Borbón avenue, next to the Los Cubos roundabout, in Carril Antoñejo. We are Murcia Region has submitted a complaint letter to the Murcia City Council urging it to clean up and immediately remove the spills and requesting, among other actions: The implementation of social awareness campaigns and environmental education in all neighborhoods and districts of the municipality to raise awareness of the need to use the clean point.The improvement of the material and human resources of the Local Police to monitor and punish offenders.And the provision of the Municipal Cleaning Service of the human, material and budgetary resources necessary so that the removal of these irregular discharges is included in its ordinary work without having to open specific contracting procedures for its execution.
