It is a project that faces its final stretch, since the new pool cover has already been installed and the only thing left to do is finish the finishing touches for its opening and enable the air conditioner. In this context, the City Council will make the pool available to the Master Swimming, Fuensanta de Murcia Swimming, Murcia Waterpolo, Murcia Swimming and Murcia City Swimming clubs, centralizing training in this facility; clubs that registered a total of 434 swimmers during the 2018/2019 season.During the event, the Murcian councilor announced that “on October 1 the heated pools of El Palmar, El Infante and Puente Tocinos will open, and on October 6 the Mar Menor pool, in which the City Council has deployed a cleaning and disinfection for its opening, which will be carried out following all safety and hygiene protocols ”.Six lanes for swimming and a maximum capacity of 44 peopleThe Consistory has allocated an investment of 175,147 euros to this project, which has involved masonry work and the installation of the roof, and which will involve its air conditioning.Specifically, a telescopic cover has been installed, which allows it to be moved by modules, so that the glass can be left in the open air and be used as a summer pool.
