| The show, which had to postpone its premiere last April, is a hymn to difference, freedom and equality and has been produced in collaboration with municipal theaters of Murcia | The Romea Theater in Murcia reopens its doors this Thursday, October 1, with the premiere of the Deconné Company 'La perpectiva del suricato', an inclusive theatrical show that extols the value of difference and has been produced in collaboration with theaters municipalities of Murcia (Romea, TCM and Bernal). The premiere of the show, created and directed by Rocío Bernal and Pepe Galera, was scheduled for last April, but had to be postponed due to the health alert situation and the closure of cultural spaces.
Now, the Romea reopens with all the recommended hygiene measures to guarantee the performance of the show safely.
On this occasion, and after requesting the corresponding authorization from the health authorities, the capacity of the show has been expanded to 350 spectators.'The meerkat perspective', as Bernal explains, is a project launched by a team made up of people with and without diversity.
A show that deepens the belief that attending to the particularities and differences of each one, taking advantage of them, is the basis for continuing to evolve in the construction of a more tolerant and rich society thanks to the plurality of those who make it up.The project is, in fact, an approach to the term 'normality', to rethink its true meaning, under the belief that this concept draws an invisible line that divides us as much as it limits.
It is, its leaders add, a hymn to difference, to freedom and equality.
A harangue to change the perspective on our weirdest and most hidden self to discover the unique being that hides on the other side of normality. The cast is made up of actors Javier Ruano, Susi Espín, Pepe Villena, María Jesús Baeza, Nico Andreo and Miriam Garlo.
In addition, the technical team will include Jesús Palazón in lighting design; Salva Riquelme in sound space design; María Aguirre and Almudena Ruipérez in costumes and scenic space; Manuel Páez in the realization of scenic elements; the audiovisual production company Twin Freaks for the documentation of the creative process and graphic design; Marina Ramos in accessibility; Gavi González as a therapist / coach; Julia Cano and Juan Antonio Mayor as sign language interpreters and Alicia Cano in distribution.Likewise, Cía Deconné, a company founded in 2013, has for this project the collaboration of organizations such as the Association for the Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities (CEOM), PupaClown Scenic Center, the La Luz de la Verbena Association, Beniaján Municipal Auditorium , ONCE Murcia and the Inclusive Translation Laboratory of the University of Murcia during the selection and testing process.
All this with the aim, adds Galera, "of creating a totally accessible show in order to reach the largest number of audiences", since it will have adapted subtitling, audio description and a valid FM system for simultaneous individual magnetic loop services with induction and amplified sound with headphones.'The meerkat's perspective' will be performed at the Romea Theater this Thursday, October 1, and tickets are on sale for 15, 12 and 10 euros at the theater box office (open from Tuesday to Friday, from 11 to 13: 30 and from 5:30 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m., and from two hours before the start of the show) and also through the internet.Safety and hygiene protocolFor the reopening of the theaters and municipal auditoriums, the Murcia City Council has implemented a safety and hygiene protocol that includes measures such as reducing capacity and the distance between spectators, the mandatory use of a mask, the dispensing of hydroalcoholic gel, taking the temperature at the access point and also collecting data (name, telephone number and occupied seat) of the attendees; information that will not be stored or used for any other purpose than to give any notice if necessary. In order to correctly implement all these measures, the theaters open their doors 45 minutes before the performance and spectators are recommended to attend at least half an hour in advance so that the shows can begin at the scheduled time. The new programming of the municipal theaters of Murcia, which until January will host a total of 77 theater, dance, circus and music shows (20 of them aimed at families or children) can be consulted on the websites of the respective spaces.
