The La Muralla Visitor Center will host a special program on the occasion of World Tourism Day (23/09/2020)

Santa Eulalia", at the La Muralla Visitor Center, whose visiting hours will be from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 , from Tuesday to Saturday; and on Sundays, from 10 a.m.

to 2 p.m.Historical, festive and cultural aspectsThrough the QR system, the 14 entrances that make up the exhibition, as well as some of the most characteristic historical, festive and cultural aspects of Santa Eulalia, will be shown virtually to the public, all through historical images of the neighborhood (press, photography or cartography ).The exhibition takes a tour of the stories and events that hide the streets and buildings of the neighborhood, its popular songbook, the old shops, the historic cemetery of the Doors of Orihuela, the ritual of the bells carried out by the young men of Santa Eulalia, the sound of the bells of the churches and hermitages, the fountains and the monument dedicated to the sculptor Francisco Salzillo, the carpenters' guild, the idyllic Conde's garden, the major and minor irrigation channels (Benetucer or Caravija), its annual festive calendar and in special, the festivities of Candelaria and San Blas, among other issues.The work of writing, documentation and photography has been carried out by the technician of sociocultural activities of the Visitor Center La Muralla Tomás García Martínez, doctor in Documentation Sciences from the University of Murcia, expert in ethnographic heritage.Two guided tours of two shifts in small groupsFor its part, on Saturday, September 26, the program will continue with several guided tours to reveal more about the history of the neighborhood.
