Councilor Andrés Guerrero explains that Cabezos de la Cruz and Collados "are currently characterized by being a degraded area, with numerous houses in a state of ruin" and also points out that "we are facing a problem of great depth because both heads are affected directly and indirectly by the Special Plan for the Protection of the Historic Site of Monteagudo and Cabezo de Torres "The Municipal Socialist Group will defend in the next plenary session, which is held this week, a motion to provide a solution to solve the problem of deterioration in Cabezos de la Cruz and Collados de Cabezo de Torres, two very damaged areas with numerous homes that lack adequate habitability and sanitation conditions, in addition to needing a social intervention approved in 2016.In this regard, the socialist councilor Andrés Guerrero explains that both heads, where PERI PH-CT1 is being developed, "are currently characterized by being a degraded area, with numerous houses in a state of ruin or of a more than necessary maintenance, in their Most of them belong to people with limited economic means, being a focus of problems in terms of trafficking in illicit substances and occupation of a significant number of homes, in addition to evident situations of unhealthiness derived from the lack of conservation and maintenance of the urban fabric ".In addition, for Guerrero, "we are facing a problem of great depth because both heads are directly and indirectly affected by the Special Plan for the Protection of the Historic Site of Monteagudo and Cabezo de Torres." All this determines that it is necessary to try by all the means to carry out actions aimed at allowing that, together with the necessary social intervention, policies are also carried out that allow the regeneration of existing homes, beyond the PERI in its approved day ".The socialist mayor affirms that in this situation "the most suitable way to carry out the regeneration of the area is through an ARRU program," as in its day it was unanimously approved by the Municipal Board, which would allow to regenerate both heads, understanding that they meet all the requirements for it.

"In this way, according to Guerrero, "it makes it easier for owners to get out of the situation of vulnerability in which they are unfortunately currently immersed."In addition, "it would not hurt to request all those aids that are considered pertinent, both at European, state or regional level, that allow to face the rehabilitation of these houses," says the mayor, who adds that all this will contribute to regenerate the area.
