| The author of the Tío Pencho cartoon died last week | The Plenary Committee on Employment, Social Rights, Education and Culture has approved raising to the municipal plenary session next Thursday the granting of the title of Adoptive Child of the city of Murcia to Manuel Sánchez Baena, better known as MAN, who died last week.Author of the cartoon of Tío Pencho, which has been published daily in 'La Verdad' since 1971, he offers, in panocho, his vision of the present through this well-known Huerta character.He was born in Melilla, but settled in Murcia many years ago, during which time he has worked for the conservation of the roots and traditions of the municipality.
