| The Catholic University has implemented bimodal teaching models and adapted face-to-face teaching, thus guaranteeing the quality of their studies in all possible settings | The UCAM students have returned today to the classrooms of the Murcia and Cartagena Campus, thus starting classes in a new course marked by the COVID 19 pandemic.
Upon the arrival of the students to the campus this morning, the illusion of the I begin with a sense of responsibility and the necessary collaboration on the part of all to stop the spread of this virus.
Facing this new course, the Catholic University has programmed a bimodal teaching model that encompasses 'online,' face-to-face and blended modalities, for which it adapts the most advanced physical and virtual resources, as well as adapted face-to-face with group rotation in the classroom.In this way, it guarantees compliance with current security measures and the development of teaching planning with all quality guarantees. About the start of classes, the rector of UCAM, Josefina García Lozano, stated that they have started "with absolute normality, the students are being very responsible, following all the health recommendations; as well as the teachers, who inform the students on the importance of all of us collaborating in this situation so that they can acquire the competencies provided for in their study plans and, of course, with security guarantees ". Security protocol The UCAM has developed a security protocol against COVID 19 that includes all the recommended measures such as the provision of signage throughout the campus that facilitates the maintenance of the safety distance, posters and television screens where a decalogue of recommendations, among which are the mandatory use of a mask, social distance and hand cleaning.
At the same time, it has scheduled the performance of serological tests by teachers and administration and services staff, before the start of the course.
It also has a Committee, chaired by the rector, which is in charge of ensuring compliance with the regulations established by the health authorities to avoid the risk of contagion as much as possible.Also noteworthy is the appointment of a COVID manager for each faculty and degree, and a room located on the Campus dedicated exclusively to those cases suspected of having contracted the virus and which will be evaluated by health professionals.
In this way, UCAM works as an active center to stop the spread of the virus. Digital transformation UCAM has boosted its digital transformation, installing cameras in all its classrooms so that students who cannot attend campus follow the classes in real time.
Also noteworthy is the incorporation of Wi-Fi 6, with a better connection to a much larger number of devices, being able to download data at maximum speed anywhere in the venue, which will give a more fluid use of remote programs, the possibility of using virtual reality and augmented or viewing in 'streaming' in High Definition.
