| To improve the quality of life of people in a situation of severe social exclusion | Thanks to this grant, the maintenance of the Low Demand Center for the Homeless is guaranteed.The Governing Board has approved the grant of 80,000 euros to the Red de Apoyo a la Integración Sociolaboral (RAIS) to maintain the Low Demand Center for Homeless People that provides care to 25 people who are in a situation of severe social exclusion.The main objective of this program is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of these people, who suffer a high level of deterioration and a low level of access to resources.
The aim of this project is to reverse the situation through a program of attention to basic needs.The Low Demand Center responds to the basic needs of the people cared for, such as food, cleaning, laundry, health care and social support, thus providing comprehensive care to the people housed there.This program that the homeless people of the municipality benefit from has the following main objectives:- Cover basic and emergency needs for homeless people in a situation of serious social exclusion, through a low-demand Night Center.- Facilitate a first health care, emergency and prevention to homeless people with high deterioration and who do not access the normalized health system.- Encourage access to resources for homeless people in Murcia who are not accessing the resource network, favoring the promotion and monitoring of the individual processes of said people.- Respond to crisis or social emergency situations from a first open, flexible and temporary care, in response to very different realities or situations that the City Council's care and emergency services encounter.- Integrate the proposed actions in the municipal and regional care network, favoring coordination and networking with the public services of the administration and with the rest of the private entities in the same fieldThe Rais Foundation was born in 1998 -although it did not arrive in Murcia until 2008- with the idea of ??supporting the insertion of people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion and, in this sense, its main objective has been the creation of networks that favor the integration of the people you work with.One of the fundamental objectives is to respond to crisis or social emergency situations from a first open, flexible and temporary attention, in response to very different realities or situations that the City Council's attention and emergency services encounter.
Integrate the proposed actions into the municipal and regional care network, favoring coordination and networking with the public services of the administration and with the rest of the private entities in the same area.In this way, the City Council, through the Department of Social Rights, continues to promote collaboration agreements with non-profit organizations established in the municipality of Murcia that serve and promote actions aimed at groups of greater social vulnerability.
