| The City Council joins this initiative in order to give visibility to those affected by this disease and raise awareness about the challenges and difficulties to which families with Duchenne syndrome have to face | The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration led by José Guillén and the Department of Social Rights and Family, led by Pilar Torres, joins this initiative in order to give visibility to those affected by this disease and raise awareness about the challenges and difficulties that families with Duchenne Syndromde have to face. In this way, at 8:45 p.m., the Moneo Building will be illuminated in red on the occasion of the International Day of Duchenne Syndrome. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a degenerative neuromuscular disease, of genetic origin, that affects one in every 3,500 male births, causing loss of muscle strength and causing serious health problems.
