José Ballesta participates tomorrow in the telematic conference to be held by the mayors of Murcia, Bilbao, Cádiz, Granada, Lleida, Madrid, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Zaragoza, to analyze the economic consequences of the "Royal Decree-Law 27/2020, of 4 August, of financial measures, of an extraordinary and urgent nature, applicable to local entities ".The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta (-PP-); Tomorrow, Friday, he will participate in the telematic conference to be held by the mayors of Bilbao (Juan Mari Aburto Rique -PNV-), Cádiz (José María González Santos -Podemos-), Granada (Luis Salvador García -Ciudadanos-), Lleida (Miquel Pueyo Paris - Republican Esquerra-), Madrid (José Luis Martínez Almedia –PP-), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (José Manuel Bermúdez Esparza –Caribbean Coalition-) and Zaragoza (Jorge Azcón Navarro -PP-).The purpose of the meeting will be to analyze the economic consequences of the “Royal Decree-Law 27/2020, of August 4, on extraordinary and urgent financial measures applicable to local entities” on these municipalities.The actions to be taken jointly to guarantee a fair distribution of the 5,000 million euros of state funds announced this week will also be analyzed.The approved Decree excludes more than 3,000 municipalities from access to those 5,000 million from the General State Budgets, which will not be distributed with equality criteria, depending on the population.Specifically, Murcia will not receive a total of 47.8 million euros from these funds, to face the COVID-19 crisis and mitigate the social and economic effects that have hit the big cities particularly hard.Tomorrow, Friday, the eight cities will agree on a joint communiqué in which they will request “the support of all the political groups represented in the Congress of Deputies and in the Senate, to whom we ask to reject the agreement adopted between the FEMP and the Ministry of Finance and that they defend the right of all citizens to be assisted equally by the State regardless of the municipality in which they live ”.
