The UMU Governing Council ratifies the contingency plans planned for the next academic year in all its faculties (24/07/2020)

| The university's governing body has also approved the docentiUM model of teacher evaluation; as well as the analytical accounting model according to the design of the CRUE | The Governing Council has ratified in its session this Friday, July 24, the contingency plans of all the faculties of the University of Murcia.

The Vice-Chancellor for Studies, Sonia Madrid, has reported that these third plans include academic programs with an indication of how the teaching activity will be developed next year.

In these plans, the centers have had to report on the relevant characteristics of the degrees for the design of the methodology and evaluation of the subjects that comprise it.

It is also reported the hours and the occupation of classrooms in all the degrees and masters taught in the different faculties in the full face-to-face teaching scenario.This information has been forwarded to the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) for review. Subsequently, the Vice-Rector for Quality, Culture and Communication, Francisco Javier Martínez, has presented for approval the Teaching Model of teacher evaluation adjusted to the guidelines of the ANECA DOCENTIA program.

This model has been debated in all the faculties of the University, submitted to a phase of public exposition with the presentation of amendments, agreed with the Quality Commission of the Senate and presented in plenary session of this academic body.

Finally, it has been the result of analysis with union representation at the technical negotiating table, obtaining the approval of all the unions that are part of it.

The model will provide updated information on how the teaching activity in the institution is carried out,It will favor the progress of the academic career of the teaching staff and will place its evaluation at the same level of development achieved in the implementation of internal quality assurance systems, an area in which the University of Murcia is a leading national level.

This document will be sent to ANECA for verification and it is expected to open the first evaluation process during the first semester of the next academic year.

The vice-chancellor thanked the work carried out by all the people who have participated in previous projects and dedicated special words of recognition to the Quality Commission of the Senate, to professors Antonio López Cabanes and Miguel Ángel Pérez Sánchez (authors of the previous proposals).

He has also presented the I Annual Scientific Dissemination Plan of the University of Murcia with the aim of putting value on the role of science and technology played in social welfare.

This document aims to identify all the high-level adoption schemes and methodologies that are agreed upon by all the units involved, including also the area of ??Information Technology and Applied Communications. The last agreement of this Governing Council has been to adhere the University of Murcia to the initiative 'What is # WhereAreThey?' sponsored by the Office of the European Parliament in Spain.

By joining this project, we assume the commitment to make women experts in European or international current affairs visible in conferences, panels and debates; make an effort to avoid, whenever possible, events where only male experts participate and carry out an annual internal count or audit to find out the percentage of female experts who have participated in the debates organized by our entities, analyzing the difficulties that may have arisen in finding experts from certain sectors and trying to improve this figure every year.The adhesion proposal has been presented by the director of the Unit for Equality, professor Carmen Sánchez Trigueros.
