| The councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government has visited the facility to check the improvements that are being carried out | The councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, today visited the Municipal Study Room of Ronda Sur where an access for people with reduced mobility has been put into operation.Specifically, next to the winch or access windlass at the main entrance, a door has been installed with a motorized arm connected to two new card readers, both for entry and exit.
Thus, to access only it is enough to bring the card closer to the reader and the door leaf will open or close automatically after the user passes. The control system has been reprogrammed so that this access is for the exclusive use of these students.
The rest of users must access the lathe as before."This action is one more step to make Murcia a more accessible and closer municipality, without barriers and open to all citizens," said the mayor. The request for cards is made through a form found on the web.
Users can choose to receive the card by post or pick it up by hand at the 'José Saramago' Library or on Antwerp Street.
These users must check the option of this type of card on the same form."The Municipal Network of Libraries goes one step further in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, in which disability is specifically referenced in several of them, such as SDG 4 Quality Education, the SDG 10 Reduction of inequalities or SDG 11 Sustainable cities and communities ”, says Mercedes Bernabé.The Municipal Network of Study Rooms of Murcia (RMSEM), depends on the Municipal Network of Libraries of Murcia (RMBM) and, therefore, on the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government.Nine study rooms in operationA total of 949 people have used the nine study rooms of the Municipal Network of Study Rooms (RMSE) since they were opened last Monday, July 13, with all the basic prevention and hygiene measures against Covid -19, in the morning and afternoon and reduced capacity.Specifically, the rooms have a maximum total capacity of 203 study places, distributed as follows: "Ronda Sur" (72), Alquerías (18), Casillas (9), Los Dolores (24), Rincón de Seca (18), Sangonera la Seca (18), Sangonera la Verde (15), Torreagüera (17) and Zeneta (12).The centers operate in the morning and afternoon hours in order to facilitate cleaning and disinfection.

to 1:30 p.m.
and from 4:00 p.m.
to 10:00 p.m.For this, the rooms have a computer system that will allow automatic closing at noon and at night.
This device warns users, sound and light, half an hour before closing to leave the facility.Use of a mandatory mask during the residence timeThe use of a mask within these spaces is mandatory during the time they remain in them.
