| Students will be able to visit the Salitre, Alameda, Floridablanca, Molinos del Río, Contraparada, El Valle and Carrascoy parks and the market by Verónicas | The City Council, through the Education Service, belonging to the Department of Education and Infant Schools, which Belén López directs, within the educational offer # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña for the 2020/21 academic year, will develop seven itineraries to places of interest in the municipality related to the natural heritage destined for more than 8,000 primary and secondary schoolchildren in the municipality.
The objective of this offer is for schoolchildren to be aware of the influence that the presence of people has on the environment, their settlement, their activity, the modifications they introduce and the resulting landscapes, as well as knowing the importance of all beings humans benefit from the development and conservation of resources and natural diversity.The # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña program, which is aimed at a school population of 73,754 students, is made up of activities from various thematic blocks, including natural heritage.
Thus, the Governing Board yesterday approved the specifications of particular administrative clauses and technical prescriptions for the contracting, by open procedure, of the natural heritage activities service with a total budget of 76,029 euros, divided into two lots, 27,893 euros for the first and 48,135 for the second.Thus, the service includes the following itineraries:-Jardín del Salitre, for schoolchildren in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education.
It is a two-hour tour of the different areas of the garden, Plaza de los Arcos de Agua and Jardín de Invierno, to learn about its history and the most outstanding plant species.-Jardín de la Alameda, intended for students of 1st and 2nd Secondary Education.
It is a visit, lasting hours, to learn about the elements that make up the landscape of the Murcia orchard and the river.-Garden of Floridablanca and Molinos del Río, destined for schoolchildren of 1st and 2nd Primary Education.
A guided tour of the different environments of the garden is offered, where the predominant plant species and the regulatory function of these spaces against contamination are identified.
Later there will be a tour of the Molinos del Río, where the facilities work.-Parque de la Contraparada, intended for students of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education.
The students will be able to observe a hydraulic construction and its functions and identify the different species of flora and fauna most characteristic of the environment and the performance of a series of tasks and group games.-Veronica Market, intended for students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of Secondary Education.
This is a visit to the city's municipal food market, where the most characteristic products of the Region will be observed and studied.-El Valle and Carrascoy Regional Park, for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th primary school students.
It consists of a two and a half hour itinerary through the Forest Nursery for schoolchildren to identify the most important species for repopulation and observation of the plant development process.
Next, a route is made to the Rambla to learn about the biodiversity of the Park and to make children aware of its care and conservation.
The itinerary ends at the Wildlife Recovery Center where they will meet the fauna of our region and carry out a series of tasks and games proposed in the student's guide.-Rambla de 'El Valle', intended for schoolchildren of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of Secondary Education.
Students will observe and study all the phenomena associated with these unique ecosystems of the typical Mediterranean landscape.In short, the # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña program offers educational centers resources and instruments to get to know the physical and social environment that surrounds them through educational activities and proposals that contribute to the knowledge of heritage and the conservation and valuation of historical, cultural and natural heritage .
