| It is located in the building of the Cultural Center of the hamlet, whose ground floor has been fitted out and in which a new one has also been enabled multipurpose room | The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, and the councilor for Pedanías and Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, inaugurated this morning the new 24-hour study room in Zeneta, located in the old medical office of the district - building in which the Zeneta Cultural Center and the headquarters of the Municipal Board are currently located - on Juan Carlos I Avenue."Zeneta opens a 24-hour study room of almost 65 square meters, which is operational today for the more than 1,850 residents of the hamlet," said José Ballesta, who added that "it is an action aimed primarily at young people and students, since the most profitable and secure investment for the future that we can make is the one that is directed to the education and comprehensive training of our young people ”.A 120 m2 ground floor for multiple activities and studyingThe City Council has allocated an investment of 90,406 euros to this project, which includes the adaptation of the ground floor in which this new study room is located, where a new multipurpose room has also been fitted out, as well as toilets - one of them being adapted - and a cleaning room, operating on a total area of ??119.88 square meters.Among the actions carried out, the creation of a direct access from the study room to the street on the side façade, with an electronic lock that allows its use through the system enabled in the rest of the study rooms of the municipality, also stands out.
Of the total budget allocated to this action, 81,220.55 euros have been invested in the adequacy of the building and 9,186.32 euros to equip the study room.14 million euros for the Murcian districts"Working for the improvement and creation of new public spaces in Murcia neighborhoods and districts is a primary objective for the Murcia City Council," said the Murcia councilor during the event, who indicated that "this action that is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, endowed with 14 million euros ”.24 study places and a computer system to control the morning and afternoon hoursThe City Council has adapted the hours of the new study room –although it is a 24-hour room–, due to the health crisis, complying with safety and prevention of infections, which is why the hours have been reduced and days available, an action that will facilitate cleaning and disinfection.
The temporary schedule of the service will be from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m.
and from 4:00 p.m.
to 10:00 p.m., in order to increase the cleaning and disinfection cycles.For this, the rooms have been equipped with a computer system that will allow automatic closing at midday and at night.
This device will soundly and lightly notify users half an hour before closing to leave the facility.Specifically, the room has 24 study places, of which 12 will be available to guarantee the minimum safety distance.
Among the equipment it presents, it stands out the Internet connection by Wi-Fi and the sockets enabled on the tables.Special cleaning and disinfection deviceThe City Council has deployed a special cleaning and disinfection device in the 24-hour study rooms of the municipality, which have hydro-alcoholic gel dispensers, as well as informative posters on the occasion of the health crisis that indicate the safety distance.Study room open in Murcian districtsCurrently the 24-hour Municipal Study Rooms (SME) that are in operation under all the safety and hygiene protocols are:- SME Alquerías.- SME Casillas.- SME Los Dolores.- SME Rincón de Seca.- SME Ronda Sur.- SME Sangonera la Seca.- SME Sangonera la Verde, at Cronista Antonio Botías Library.- SME & Torreagüera Young Associations.Other study rooms with specific hours of the Cultural Centers or Municipal Centers are:- SME Cobatillas, in the integration study phase in the RMSEM.- SME Monteagudo.- SME Santo Ángel.- SME Los Martínez del Puerto, in the integration study phase in the RMSEM.- Under study, in the initial phase of the project, is the creation of the study room of Barqueros.Requirements to access the study roomThe condition and the procedure for the use of the study room is necessary to be over 16 years old, as well as to request the access card by filling in the form located on the web roomsStudio.rmbm.org.La tarjeta podrá solicitarse por correo postal o retirarse en mano (para quienes así lo hayan seleccionado en el formulario web) en:- La Biblioteca José Saramago (avenida de la Fama, 9), en julio y agosto de lunes a viernes 9:00 a 14:00 horas (a partir de septiembre, de lunes a sábado de 9:30 a 13:30 h y de lunes a viernes de 16:30 a 20:30 h).- En su defecto, deberá recogerse en la calle Amberes, 3, de lunes a viernes de 8:30 a 14:00 h.- Se trata de una tarjeta personal e intransferible: nadie puede usarla, salvo el interesado.
La sanción por un mal uso de la tarjeta es el bloqueo durante 6 meses e, incluso, la anulación.Las tarjetas se adscriben a la sala solicitada, pero si se desea emplearla en alguna otra, no hay que solicitar una nueva, sino pedir que se active también para la otra sala de estudio que interese por correo electrónico o teléfono.
